Please read these terms carefully before using this website, requesting a quote, or leaving your vehicle with us.
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This website is operated by YashTek Holdings (Pty) Ltd, trading as Carbon Bros (carbonbros.co.za). In these terms, “Carbon Bros”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, and “you” and “your” mean the person who visits the website, requests a quote, places an order or receives a service, and anyone on whose behalf that person acts.
These terms apply when you visit this website, request a quote, buy a product, make a booking or receive a service from Carbon Bros. By using the website, accepting a quote, paying a deposit or leaving your vehicle with us, you agree to be bound by them. A quote, order confirmation or written service agreement may include additional terms for the particular transaction. If those terms conflict with these website terms, the specific written terms for that transaction will apply to the extent of the conflict. These terms and the accepted quote or order together form the whole agreement between you and us (see Section 23).
Please read these terms before using the website or accepting a quote. Provisions that limit our liability or place risk on you appear in bold; please read them with particular care (see especially Sections 4, 7 and 17). Nothing in these terms removes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be removed or limited.
The website provides information about Carbon Bros’ products and services, including paint protection film, vinyl wrapping and branding, detailing, body kits and vehicle parts, window tint, badge blackouts, magnetic number plates, fleet branding, custom vinyl decals and forged wheels.
A request for a quote is an enquiry only. It does not create a contract or require either party to proceed. We will provide a quote based on the information you supply, including your vehicle’s make, model, year, condition and requested work. We may decline, withdraw or change a quote at any time before you accept it, and we may revise a quote if the information you gave us turns out to be incomplete or inaccurate.
A quote will state its validity period, the work or products covered, the price, any deposit or payment terms and any important exclusions or conditions. Unless the quote states otherwise, it is open for acceptance for 7 days. A contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing (which includes by email or message) and we confirm the booking or order in writing. We are not required to reserve a booking slot, order stock or start work until we have received the deposit or advance payment stated in the quote.
Please review each quote carefully and tell us before you accept it if any detail is incorrect or incomplete. By accepting a quote you confirm that it correctly describes the work and products you want. Changes to the requested work after acceptance may affect the price, parts required and completion date, and we may refuse a change once materials have been ordered or cut, or work has started. We will obtain your approval before proceeding with additional chargeable work, except where the law permits otherwise.
Your use of this website must be lawful. You may not interfere with its security or operation, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, use automated tools to scrape or copy its content, or use it to infringe another person’s rights.
You must provide accurate information in any enquiry, quote request or booking. You may not impersonate another person or submit information that is misleading, unlawful or harmful. You are responsible for the accuracy of that information, and we may rely on it.
We may suspend or restrict your access to the website, and decline further enquiries from you, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms or that this is necessary to protect the website, its users or our business.
We try to keep product descriptions, photographs, prices and service information accurate and current. Website images are illustrative and may not show every feature, variation or finish. Appearance may differ due to lighting, screens, production changes or the condition and colour of a particular vehicle. Colours, finishes and film or vinyl samples shown on a screen or in photographs are a guide only, and the final result may vary with the product batch, the shape of the vehicle and the underlying paint. If colour or finish matters to you, ask to see a physical sample before you accept a quote. Prices and availability on the website may change without notice and are not an offer capable of acceptance until we confirm your order.
Descriptions of products or services on the website are general information. The scope, suitability, price, warranty and timing of work will be confirmed in the quote or written order for your vehicle. You should rely on the quote or written order, not on general website content, when deciding whether a product or service suits you.
You are responsible for providing us with accurate information about your vehicle and the work you require. This includes disclosing relevant repairs, repainting, previous wraps or coatings, existing damage, mechanical or electrical issues, modifications, warning lights, faults, leaks or other conditions that could affect the work. You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, or that the owner (and any finance provider, where necessary) has authorised you to instruct us.
Carbon Bros may inspect the vehicle before accepting or starting work. If the vehicle’s condition or the information supplied differs materially from what was represented, we will discuss any effect on the work, price or timing with you before proceeding. We may decline or stop work, and charge a reasonable amount for work already done and materials already ordered or cut, if the vehicle is unsuitable for the work or is not in the condition you described.
Paint, surfaces and existing finishes. Paint protection film, vinyl, tint and coatings, and the removal of existing ones, can lift or damage paint, clear coat, trim and adhesives that are already weak, aged, chipped, rusted, repainted, poorly bonded or not factory original. Our check-in inspection is visual and does not test paint thickness or adhesion unless the quote says so. Unless it is caused by our negligence, we are not responsible for lifting, peeling, discolouration, adhesive residue or other damage to paint, clear coat, trim or glass that results from the existing condition of the vehicle, a previous repair or respray, or the removal of an existing film, wrap, tint or coating.
For vehicle parts and accessories, you must confirm that the product is appropriate for your vehicle and intended use. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure about compatibility. Any compatibility or fitment advice we give will be based on the information you provide. We are not responsible if a product does not fit or suit your vehicle because the details you gave us were incomplete or inaccurate, so please give us your VIN, model year and specification when you order.
Prices are in South African rand. Any applicable VAT, parts, labour, delivery, installation or other charges will be identified in the quote or displayed before you commit to a purchase.
The price stated in an accepted quote will apply to the work and products described in that quote, subject to any changes approved by you. If additional work becomes necessary, we will explain the reason and any additional cost and obtain your approval before proceeding, unless otherwise permitted by law. Work or products that are not described in the quote are not included. If you do not respond to a request for approval within 2 business days, we may pause the work, and the completion date will be extended by the same period.
Payment methods, deposit requirements, payment milestones and the final payment date will be stated in the quote or order confirmation. You must pay in accordance with those terms. Unless the quote says otherwise, a deposit of 50% of the quote price is payable when you accept the quote and before we reserve a booking slot or order stock, and the balance is payable in full before we release the vehicle or product. A payment counts as received only when the funds are cleared in our bank account. You may not deduct, withhold or set off any amount against what you owe us, except where the law gives you that right.
If you do not pay an amount when it is due, we may suspend or stop work and, to the extent the law allows, keep the vehicle or product until everything you owe us has been paid. Overdue amounts bear interest at the rate the law permits from the due date until payment, and you must pay our reasonable collection costs. Ownership of products we supply stays with us until you have paid for them in full. Risk in them passes to you when they are delivered to you or made available for collection.
If an online price or product listing contains an obvious error, we will contact you before accepting the order. If we cannot supply the product or service at the corrected price and you do not wish to proceed, we will cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid for it.
Bookings and estimated completion dates will be confirmed in writing. Completion dates are estimates, not guarantees, and time is not of the essence. Timing may depend on parts availability, supplier and courier delays, vehicle condition, weather and curing conditions, the work required, any delay by you in approving work or paying, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control (see also Section 21). We will contact you if a material delay arises. Subject to your rights under law, we are not liable for loss caused by a delay that is not our fault.
You must collect your vehicle or product within 2 business days after we tell you it is ready, or at the time we agree in writing, and pay the balance due before it is released. If you do not collect on time, we may charge a reasonable storage fee of [Amount] per day (excluding VAT) from the end of that period. The vehicle or product is then stored at your risk, although we will still take reasonable care of it. If it remains uncollected for 30 days after we give you written notice, we may take the steps the law allows to recover what you owe us, which can include selling the vehicle or goods after giving the notice the law requires.
To change or cancel a booking you must tell us in writing as soon as possible, using the contact details at the top of these terms. If you cancel or postpone after we have confirmed your booking, we may keep part or all of your deposit, or charge you, a reasonable cancellation charge that reflects the notice you gave, the value of the booking slot we reserved and cannot re-let, and our costs and losses, including products ordered, cut or printed for you and work already done. We will not charge a penalty prohibited by law. A booking changed with less than 48 hours’ notice, or where the vehicle does not arrive at the agreed time, may be treated as a cancellation.
You must remove valuables and personal belongings from your vehicle before leaving it with us. Items left in the vehicle, and accessories that are not standard fitment (such as dash cameras, tracking devices and aftermarket audio equipment), remain at your risk, and unless the loss or damage is caused by our negligence we are not responsible for them. Please tell us about any security systems, keys, operating instructions or special handling requirements relevant to the work, and give us all keys, remotes and codes we need.
We may need to move or start the vehicle within our premises, or carry out a limited road test where reasonably necessary to perform or assess the agreed work. We will take reasonable care when doing so. You must make sure that the vehicle is insured for the whole time it is with us, including while it is moved or driven by our staff for these purposes.
We may record the vehicle’s condition at check in, including photographs, to document existing damage and the work requested. If we discover a condition that may affect the work or create a safety concern, we will contact you before undertaking additional work. You will be asked to review and sign the check-in record. Unless you can show otherwise, the check-in record and photographs are the agreed record of the vehicle’s condition when we received it, and we are not responsible for damage or wear that was already there, including damage that could not be seen at check-in because it was under trim, panels or existing film.
Work often requires removing and refitting trim, badges, lights, sensors, bumpers and panels. Older or brittle clips, plastics and fittings can break during removal even when handled with reasonable care. Unless it is caused by our negligence, we are not responsible for parts that fail because of their age, wear or earlier damage, or for the cost of recalibrating cameras, sensors or driver-assistance systems after work that affects them, unless the quote includes it.
We will perform the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. If you believe work is incomplete or defective, contact us promptly with details so that we can inspect the issue and discuss an appropriate remedy under the agreement and applicable law. Please inspect the vehicle and the work at collection, in good light, and tell us about any visible defect before you leave or as soon as possible afterwards, as this helps us to tell defects from later damage. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where we are responsible, to fix a defect before you have the work corrected by someone else; if you do not, we are not liable for the cost of that work, although this does not limit your rights under law.
Some products, wraps, decals, graphics, cut films or other work may be made, cut or prepared to your specifications or for a particular vehicle. You are responsible for checking and approving any design, colour, wording, measurements, registration details or other specifications you provide. Once you approve a proof, mock-up, colour, measurement or specification, we are not responsible for errors in what you approved (such as spelling, sizes, colours or registration details), and reproducing it is for your account. Custom, special-order and made-to-measure products and work cannot be changed or cancelled once we have placed the order, started cutting or printing, or begun the work, except where the law allows, and you remain liable for the costs we have incurred up to that point, which may include the full price of products made or ordered specially for you.
The statutory cooling off right for certain electronic transactions does not apply to some goods made to a consumer’s specifications, clearly personalised goods or goods that by their nature cannot be returned. This does not remove any other rights you may have under applicable law, including rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied goods.
If you provide logos, artwork, photographs, branding or other materials, you confirm that you are entitled to use them and to authorise Carbon Bros to use them for the agreed work. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the material and for obtaining any necessary third-party permissions. You indemnify us against any claim by a third party that our use of those materials for the agreed work infringes its rights, and against the reasonable costs we incur as a result. We may refuse to use any material that we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringing, offensive or unsuitable, and will tell you if we do.
You authorise us to use those materials only to prepare or perform the work you requested, unless you separately agree otherwise.
Unless you tell us in writing before the work starts that you object, you allow us to photograph and film your vehicle and the finished work, and to use those images in our portfolio, on our website and on social media, with registration plates and personal information blurred or removed. This permission covers images of the finished work, including any logos or branding on it, but not your original artwork files.
You are responsible for ensuring that the requested product, modification or use is lawful for your vehicle and intended purpose, including any requirements relating to roadworthiness, visibility, licensing, registration, insurance or manufacturer warranties. This includes any notice to, or approval from, the licensing authority, your insurer, your finance provider or the vehicle manufacturer that the work may require (for example, a change of vehicle colour or the fitment of aftermarket parts). We do not give legal, insurance or warranty advice, and you accept the risk that a modification may affect your insurance cover, finance terms or manufacturer warranty. Products marked for off-road, track or show use only must not be used on public roads.
We will not knowingly perform work that we reasonably believe is unlawful or unsafe. We may decline or modify a request if necessary to comply with law or safety requirements and will discuss any change with you. You indemnify us against any fine, penalty or claim that arises because you asked for a specification that is unlawful or unsafe (for example, tint darker than the law allows) or because you use a product or the vehicle unlawfully or against our instructions, except to the extent that we caused it through our negligence.
Your rights under applicable consumer-protection legislation remain unaffected by this section.
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies to an online purchase, a consumer may cancel a transaction for goods without giving a reason within seven days after receiving the goods. The direct cost of returning the goods may be payable by the consumer. The Act excludes certain transactions, including certain goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised goods. Where a refund is due under that section, it must be made within the statutory period.
To return goods under this section, please contact us first and follow our return instructions. Goods must be unused, undamaged and not installed or fitted, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase. Goods that have been fitted, applied, cut, printed or altered, and special-order or made-to-order goods, cannot be returned or cancelled except where the law allows, for example because they are defective or not what you ordered. We will inspect returned goods, and where a refund is due we will pay it to the original payment method within the period the law requires.
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, consumers may have rights to return goods that fail to meet the Act’s quality requirements. Section 56 provides an implied warranty of quality and, in the circumstances set out in that section, gives the consumer a choice of remedy, which may include repair, replacement or refund. Nothing in these terms restricts those statutory rights. Please tell us promptly about any defect, give us the details and photographs, and let us inspect the goods so that we can establish the cause.
Any manufacturer warranty or additional warranty for a product or service will be described in the quote, product listing, warranty document or order confirmation. A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace any rights you may have under applicable law. We give no warranty, guarantee or promise about the lifespan, durability, appearance or performance of any product or work other than those stated in writing in the quote, warranty document or order confirmation. A warranty applies only to the person named on the invoice or job card, for the vehicle and the period stated, and cannot be transferred unless we agree in writing. Manufacturer warranties are given by the manufacturer on its own terms; we will help you to lodge a claim but we do not give or control them. To claim under a warranty, you must show us the invoice or job card and let us inspect the vehicle.
A warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by misuse, accident or collision, neglect, stone chips, scratches or road debris, bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout, salt or other environmental damage, pressure washing, automatic car-wash brushes, abrasive polishes, solvents or harsh chemicals, repairs, resprays or alterations by anyone other than us, failure to follow care instructions or to attend a required after-care inspection, racing, track or other use that the warranty excludes, or normal wear and tear, fading and ageing, subject always to applicable law and the specific warranty terms.
Unless the warranty terms or the law say otherwise, the remedy for an accepted warranty claim is limited to repairing, re-applying or replacing the affected product or panel, at our option.
Care and maintenance instructions for wraps, films, coatings, tint or other installed products will be provided where applicable. You are responsible for following those instructions after collection. Our care instructions form part of any warranty, and we may require you to bring the vehicle in for after-care or inspection visits where those instructions say so.
Some products may be manufactured or supplied by third parties. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Unless expressly stated, Carbon Bros is not affiliated with or endorsed by a vehicle manufacturer. We are not responsible for delays, shortages or defects caused by a manufacturer, supplier, courier or other third party, except where the law requires or to the extent that we are at fault. Brand names are used only to identify compatibility.
The website may link to third-party websites or services. Those websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services except to the extent that applicable law makes us responsible. A link does not mean that we endorse a third-party website.
The website’s text, photographs, graphics, logos, design and other content, and our names, designs, artwork, templates, patterns, cut files and installation methods, are owned by Carbon Bros or used with permission. You may view and use the website for personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, modify, scrape or commercially use website content, or our names, logos or images, without our prior written permission or the rights holder’s permission. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we keep the copyright in any design we create for you. You may use the finished work on the vehicles covered by the quote, but you may not reproduce the design or give it to anyone else to reproduce.
By submitting an enquiry or booking request, you authorise us to collect and use the information you provide (including your contact details, vehicle details, photographs of the vehicle and payment information) to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a booking, perform and administer any resulting agreement, keep our business and tax records, protect our legal rights and comply with the law, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We may share your information with our suppliers, installers, couriers, payment providers, insurers and professional advisers where needed for those purposes, and we keep it only for as long as we need it or the law requires. You must make sure that you are entitled to give us any personal information of other people that you provide. You may ask us to correct or delete your information or object to our processing of it, and you may complain to the Information Regulator. Our information officer is [Information Officer Name] ([Information Officer Email]). We will send you marketing communications only as the law permits, and you may opt out at any time.
We may update, change or temporarily suspend all or part of the website. We will try to correct errors in product information, prices or other content when they are brought to our attention. We may also change or discontinue products and services at any time.
The website and its content are provided for general information. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will always be available. We do not guarantee that the website or our emails are free from errors, delays or harmful code. Subject to Section 17, we are not responsible for loss caused by your use of, or inability to use, the website. This section does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes, limits or changes a right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited or changed, including any applicable rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other legislation.
Subject to that, Carbon Bros is not responsible for loss caused by your failure to provide accurate information, your failure to follow care instructions, the existing condition of your vehicle (see Section 4), your use of a product for a purpose for which it was not supplied, or the acts or omissions of third parties that we do not control. This section does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limit on our liability. To the extent the law allows, and except where we are grossly negligent or act with fraud or wilful misconduct, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of a transaction, whether in contract, delict or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or service that gave rise to the claim.
No indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, business, use of the vehicle, resale value or goodwill, the cost of a hire or replacement vehicle, or inconvenience, however it arises.
Vehicles and goods in our care. While your vehicle or goods are with us, we will take reasonable care of them. Except to the extent that we are negligent, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as fire, flood, hail, riot, or theft despite our reasonable security measures.
You must tell us about any claim as soon as you become aware of it and give us a fair opportunity to inspect the vehicle or goods and to limit the loss. Where delay prejudices us, our liability is reduced to the extent of that prejudice.
You indemnify us against claims by third parties, fines, penalties and reasonable costs that we suffer because you breached these terms, gave us inaccurate or incomplete information or instructions, or gave us materials or specifications that are unlawful or that infringe another person’s rights, except to the extent that we caused the loss through our negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct.
Please send any question or complaint about a quote, product, booking or service to us in writing, with your job or order reference, a description of the problem and photographs where possible, to:
Email: info@carbonbros.co.za
Telephone: +27 67 295 9021
We will acknowledge and investigate your complaint within a reasonable time. Please give us a fair opportunity to inspect the matter and put it right before you take it further. Nothing in this section stops you from referring a complaint to the National Consumer Commission, an industry ombud with jurisdiction or a competent court. If a dispute is not resolved, the parties will first try to resolve it through good-faith discussion before starting legal proceedings, except where urgent relief is needed.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed or read down only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply in full, subject to applicable law. Each exclusion and limitation in these terms is a separate provision and applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute may be referred to a competent South African court or consumer-protection body, where applicable. You consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates’ Court for the district in which our premises are situated, without limiting our right to approach any other competent court. This does not remove any right a consumer has to approach the National Consumer Commission, the National Consumer Tribunal, a consumer court or any other forum available under the Consumer Protection Act.
We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version on the website. The terms applicable to a particular booking or order will be the version that applied when you accepted the relevant quote or order, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
We are not in breach of these terms, and are not liable for any delay or failure to perform, to the extent that it is caused by an event outside our reasonable control. This includes power outages and load shedding, fire, flood, severe weather, riot, strike or industrial action, civil unrest, pandemic or government restrictions, supplier, port, customs or courier delays, shortages of materials and failures of utilities or telecommunications.
We will tell you if such an event affects your booking and will resume performance as soon as reasonably possible. If the event continues for more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the affected order by written notice, and we will refund amounts you paid for work not yet done and goods not yet supplied, less our reasonable costs for work already done and goods already ordered, cut or made for you.
This section applies where you are a company, close corporation, partnership, trust or other juristic person, or you order for business use, and the Consumer Protection Act does not apply to the transaction. It applies in addition to the rest of these terms and prevails to the extent of any conflict.
The person who accepts a quote or order on your behalf confirms that he or she is authorised to bind you.
You must report visible defects and incorrect or incomplete work in writing within 5 business days after delivery or collection, and hidden defects within 5 business days after you discover them, failing which the work is treated as accepted. This does not limit any written warranty we have given. No right of return or cooling-off applies to your orders, except for defective goods covered by a written warranty.
A certificate signed by one of our directors or managers, whose authority need not be proved, stating the amount you owe us is enough proof of that amount unless you prove it is wrong. If we have to take steps to recover what you owe, you must pay our legal costs on the attorney-and-own-client scale, together with collection charges and tracing costs.
These terms, your accepted quote or order and any warranty document we issue are the whole agreement between you and us about the products and work. Our staff, installers and agents have no authority to make a promise, representation or warranty that is not recorded in writing in those documents, and, subject to applicable law, you may not rely on one.
No change to these terms or to an accepted quote is valid unless it is in writing and agreed by us (an email from us is enough). If we allow you extra time or do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of the right and does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations to anyone else without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor to our business or to a person who collects debts on our behalf.
Notices to us must be sent to the address or email address at the top of these terms. We choose the address for service of legal documents given at the top of these terms as our address for legal service. You choose the physical address you gave us in your quote request or order as your address for legal service, until you tell us of a new address in writing. A notice sent by email is treated as received on the next business day after it is sent, unless the sender receives a delivery failure message.
